Taking a caravan abroad is an expensive business. The cost of the ferry is much higher, not to mention the additional fuel costs in towing to the ferry ports.
Does your caravan spend most of its time on your driveway or in a British storage facility? Are you put off using your caravan in Britain because all too often its cold and wet?

All of this can be overcome by storing your caravan at Le Picard.

The storage area is CCTV protected and has access restrictions  to the public so your caravan is safe and secure. Paul will personally put your caravan into storage and draw it out whenever you need it. If your intention is to hitch up and head off for the continent then Paul will have your caravan ready for you in the departure area. On the other hand, you may wish to stop over for a day or two or indeed, you may wish to go no further than Le Picard. If so, Paul will site your caravan on to one of the pitches.

As the site is open all year round you will have access to your caravan whenever you want provided you give Paul sufficient notice.

The first time your caravan is taken out of storage every year Paul will give it a thorough wash. Once again, its only Paul who will attend to this.

If your caravan requires a service or a repair then Paul and Lucia will arrange for this to be carried out by an experienced local technician on site.

Remember also that your storage receipt is all that Brittany Ferries require to register your membership to the Property Owner's Club and its possible to recover your storage fees in ferry crossing savings.


French touring caravan insurance for U.K caravans is now no longer available in France to new customers, this was withdrawn across the board by French insurers in September 2009. Le Picard can however, offer French static caravan insurance for a British touring caravan but this would only provide cover for when the caravan is on site and does not cover for the road. One would have to use ones own car insurance for the road aspect of insurance
